Cinnamon Roll French Toast

Cinnamon Roll French Toast

I'm an avid breakfast lover and when we can make it into a dessert as well, I'm sold. These macros are killer and when I can have my cake and eat it too, this is a major win. This is a recipe the whole family will love. Try it and let me know what you think!

Macros: 30c 2.5f 34p

Ingredients:

EGG MIXTURE:
- ½ cup (122ml) carton egg whites
- 2 tbsp (10g) iheartmacros protein powder
- 1 tbsp (15ml) unsweetened almond milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt

TOPPING:
- 1 ½ tsp truvia
- ½ tsp cinnamon

GLAZE:
- 1 heaping tbsp (~8g) iheartmacros protein powder
- 2 tsp (10ml) unsweetened almond milk

BREAD:
- 3 slices 45 calorie bread

Directions:

  1. Add “glaze” ingredients to a small bowl and stir until smooth and combined. Set aside.
  2. Add “topping” ingredients to a plate and stir to combine. Set aside.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Add all “egg mixture” ingredients, except bread, to a shallow bowl or container and whisk to combine.
  5. Dip each slice of bread in the mixture, flipping it 3 times to absorb as much liquid as possible.
  6. Place each slice of bread on the already hot pan and cook, flipping halfway, until egg is cooked through.
  7. Immediately dip each slice into the “topping” mixture.
  8. Drizzle glaze over top and enjoy!
